Sewing Again

I have been looking at this wonderful Joel Dewberry fabric and trying to decide which color to order. It comes in several different color combinations. I finally decided to order two different colors and I found a great price on it from So Fun Fabrics.  I received my fabric super fast, only two days after I placed the order.  Immediately after receiving the fabric I started kicking myself.  I only ordered 1 yard of each color.  Of course I had no idea what I was going to do with it.  So, I started flipping through books, patterns, internet pages, and finally decided it might work in the bodice of this dress.  This is Simplicity pattern 3833.  It was relatively simple, that is if you're not as mistake proned as I am.  I still have enough left to make a purse, I think.
