Baby Stuff I Never Posted

Time flies when your having fun, right?  Actually, at this age time flies whether you are having fun or not, but just for the record, I am having fun.  Life is so full of ups and downs but I'm learning more and more that time is precious and we must hold tightly to every good moment, and let go of those that simply aren't so great.

I almost lost my thought philosophizing. .. Oh, so my point is that time slipped away from me again and I'm late sharing these photos with you.

I made this paper flower tree for my daughter-in-law's shower.  I had planned to do a tutorial  on making these flowers, but I never got around to it.

This is a crib sheet that I started embroidering for my first grandchild, who is eight now, and finished for my last one  who is three months.

It was a stamped cross-stitch piece.

Please excuse the wrinkles, I'm told they add character to a face, but not so much to  embroidery, huh?

I hope she dreams sweetly covered in this.

A Little Sewing for Another Little Blessing on the Way

I'm so excited by the fact that we will be welcoming two more little ones to our family this summer! The first is due to arrive next month, and the second in August. So I've been trying to squeeze in a little sewing here and there to prepare for these grand arrivals.

Here is a diaper bag I made for my sweet daughter-in-law. I hope she likes it as much as I do! I have made several bags by this pattern, and while it's a little tricky to get the bottom panel in just right, they always come out nicely, at least, so far they do.

I also made her a white on white wonky log cabin quilt. I'm not sure how well you can see the pattern in the pictures, but the contrast is very subtle. This it the first quilt as you go I've finished. I have another in the works, but stopped it to work on baby things.

I have a gazillion (is that how you spell it?) other things I want to make for these babies, but since I'm trying to doubly do every thing, this may be all I have time to make before the exciting arrivals!

Who would have ever thought one person could be so blessed, overwhelmed at times, but definitely blessed!
