Come on in and Look Around Our Vintage Camper

Come on in and let me show you around.  If you were here in person you could take in everything with one quick glance, but since you aren't here in person, I'll show you a ton of pictures.

So here is the view from the front door.

Looking to your left this is what you will see.

Since this is a hi-lo or hard sided pop-up wall decor is limited.  It will have to be taken down each time the top is lowered.  I'm sure in time I'll find something else to go up, or I may paint something on there.
There is a cute little stove top, and hiding behind the dish towel is a tiny fridge.

A little more storage space beside the door.

This is what is on the right side of the door, a couch which makes a tiny bed.

Isn't that apron adorable?

I'm ready for a trip and a nice little dinner right here!

So what do you think?

Still No Name Work in Progress

So, here are the first touches added to our little accordion of a camper.

The blue was a little lighter than I wanted, but we are going to just go with it.  On the other hand the red is just the right shade!  I wanted to accent with red, yellow, and Jadeite green.  However, I'm not sure there is room for all of those colors...we'll see.

It is a little lighter and brighter everywhere.

Well, that's what we have so far.

Vintage Hi-Lo Camper

We have a new project going.  It is one my husband has been wanting for a long time.  We both love to camp, but he really prefers a camper to a tent, and honestly, when it gets hot outside I do too.

He found a 1961 hi-lo recently and brought it home.  It's extremely vintage for sure, but he's already started working on it, and we spent a recent getaway shopping to glamp it up when he gets through.

I'm looking forward to seeing what we can do with it.  So now here are the before pictures:

Apparently she has to be named and there has been quite a bit of discussion on that matter.  Right now we are leaning toward Tea-tiny, but the final decision will be made when we see how she turns out.

Hopefully, she will be looking a great deal better in the not so distant future.  I'd love to hear any ideas you might have on decorating or naming her.

New Neighbors

Okay, so, I had about a zillion (only a slight exaggeration) things to do today.  This afternoon came, and I only had checked three things off my to do list.  I wasn't feeling that great, but I was determined  to get at the very least three more done before dinner.  However, something caught my eye as I passed the window.  There were bluebirds building a new nest in the birdhouse.

Right on time...the first week of Spring!

Meet the Mr.

...and the Mrs.

He is such a sweet little guardian!

And she is a hard worker.

Now where did he get off to?

I'm right here dear.

Despite the pictures of Mr. lounging around, he really did a lot of the work.

Aren't they just the cutest?

She had a hard time making this one fit in the hole...

...but she just kept trying.

Another Doll Quilt

I know most of the time little doll quilts are just made to hang on the wall, but these little ones are actually for my grand babies to use.  I hope they get completely worn out!

I can't believe I finally completed two of them.  I'm thinking they might be addictive.  I only have one more to make for each of the girls to have one, then maybe I'll try making one to hang.  I hope this one and the next one get as much love as the previous one I made.  The baby has almost given up her blankie and has taken to carrying it with her everywhere.

It seems like this one fits the dolly nicely.
