Look what I found!

I spent most of the day trying to make an owl that should look similar to the one pictured here, from this book I found at the thrift store.

I ran out of fiberfill and started looking to see if I had stuffed some in a cabinet that I rarely use in my laundry room. Even though I rarely use it it is crammed with crafting stuff, mostly junk that I can't make myself throw away. Anyway, I came across some fabric that I didn't even remember having.

Mind you, none of it is extremely springy, but fun stuff just the same.

A couple of pieces I think might work okay for this time of year so I need to hurry up and think of an appropriate project for each of them.

I like the bold one best, but there isn't very much of it.

Still haven't finished the owl. I'll post a picture when I do.

Happy Birthday Sweet Cheeks!

My sweet little darling "Sweet Cheeks" celebrated her first birthday today. Such a cutie with her chunky self! This is her at the beginning of the party with her aunt.

Next my dad took her and she fell promptly to sleep.

We whisked her into the kitchen and placed her little cake in front of her and she began to indulge in the chocolate until she resembled a gnome with her little chocolate beard.

Her dad had been practising all week with her so she could blow out the candle but instead she fell asleep.

Thrifting

Another old pattern and a chicken scratch apron in my favorite red gingham! I also bought a jar full of buttons and some sewing notions. I just love junkin!

Thrifting

I love vintage planters the two little sports in front I've had for a while, but I found the baby boxer at a second hand shop for .50. Can you believe it?

Here is a happy little elephant planter that I found at a local antique store.
